FAQ Handcoffee

What type of pod should I use with Handcoffee machines?

Handcoffee machines work with Senseo® type pods, also known as soft pods. You can easily find them in supermarkets.

They measure 80mm.

Only single pads are accepted in Handcoffee machines.

How do I maintain my Handcoffee machine?

Handcoffee machines heat water like a kettle, so all you have to do is maintain your machine like your kettle.
Pour white vinegar instead of water into the machine's reservoir and start the cycle to descale it, then rinse it several times with clean water to remove the vinegar taste.
It is advisable to descale the machine regularly (every 2 months or 100 coffees) to increase its performance and lifespan.

My machine won't start when I press the mug button

If you have not activated your machine immediately after the end-of-cycle beep, a safety device is activated. To deactivate it and restart the cycle, press the ON button again.

If this does not solve the problem, contact the Handpresso after-sales service: sav@handpresso.fr, who will take care of repairing your machine.

My machine leaks when I turn it over

If, when you turn your machine upside down, water runs around the filter holder, check that the orange seal is still in place.

The coffee doesn't flow after pressing the cup

Check that the filter holder (lid) is clean.

After several uses, coffee grounds can become embedded in the filter and block the flow of your coffee. If a pod has torn, some beans may have slipped into the filter under the nozzle. In this case, follow the procedure below to clean the filter.

1. Pull firmly on the nozzle to unclip it.

2. Position a light opposite the coffee outlet.

3. If you can't see a light beam from the other side, your filter holder is blocked!

4. Insert a sewing needle in the hole to remove the foreign bodies.

5. If you can see a light beam, your filter door is unblocked!

If the problem remains, please contact our after-sales service sav@handpresso.fr  to arrange for your filter holder to be repaired by our workshop.
